With cPassMan you can import items from a simple CSV format file.
The rules
In order to import using a CSV file, this one has to conform to the next rules :
- One item by line
- Each line is build with the next structure: `Account`,`Login Name`,`Password`,`Web Site`,`Comments`
How to import?
First go in home page, and click on button “Import”.

- Import on Home page
In the dialogbox, click on “Browse” button.
Please notice that the import script uses Flash, so be sure deactivate any Flash blocker.

Import a CSV file
After selected your CSV file, a full list of all items found in the file will be displayed. From now, do the next steps:
- Tick the checkbox of the items you want to import
- Select the folder in which you want to import them
- Optionally, you can customize the rights associated to those imported items
- Click on button “Import”
Tip: If you wan to import items in several folders, do several importations by selecting the good folder and only the items that should be imported in.

I’m currently running version 2.1.6. I have been unable import anything via CSV. I’ve even tried copying and pasting the example line to import that. The same thing happens no matter what I’ve tried.
- I select a CSV file.
- I see it upload with Flash uploader.
- Nothing else happens and I’m left with another browse CSV button.
Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Hello,
It is a bug that has been corrected for next 2.1.7 release (soon available).
You can found the 2.1.7 (in a parallel branch) in Github, the correction is implemented.

Unfortunatly still doesn’t work with 2.1.7
Unable to import CSV files, the arrow icons just sit and spin indefinitely.
i wont’ import anything for me either, I am on the latest 2.1.7 and I just get an IO error in FireFox. I have tried a lot of spreadsheet combinations and nothing.
I have been cleaning up my CSV file one column at the time and I am down to the comments column. Some rows have comments, others don’t, the comments aren’t very long but they are short descriptions of the account. I removed all comments and tried importing it and the list appears right away. If I put the comments back and try to import, I get a spinning circle.
I think that there is an issue with the allowed formatting of comments.
Well, I removed some entries from the comments column that were in the format of ftp://somesite and the import worked so. No more issues for me.
The import worked for awhile until I decided that if I’m going to use TeamPass it has to be a sucured site – so I enabled ssl in apache2. Then the import returns with an I/O Error via port 443 using https://mysite/teampass. When I use the port 80 i.e. http://mysite/teampass – I now just get the spinning arrow.
I have not tried disabling ssl altogether to see if it will work again.
Import does not work at all, tried it several ways and wit the suggestions here, no good,
Pretty much useless software to me if I can’t import from keepass.
